Trinidad Cement Ltd., which is majority owned by CEMEX, announced Francisco Aguilera Mendoza as its new chief executive officer, effective Dec. 1. He succeeds Jose Luis Seijo Gonzalez, who has held the position since 2015.
Aguilera Mendoza currently holds the position of vice president of strategic planning for CEMEX Latam Holdings (CLH). He has served as deputy chairman of the Trinidad Cement board since 2014, and will continue in this capacity.
Since joining CEMEX in 1996, Aguilera Mendoza has held leadership positions in various areas throughout the producer’s operations, including vice president of Trading Americas and Group Shipping. He has extensive experience in the building materials industry, especially in fields such as general management, logistics operations, international commerce and post-merger integrations.
Seijo Gonzalez has been promoted to director of CLH’s companies that operate in Panama and Costa Rica. He replaces Andrés Jiménez Uribe and Enrique García Morelos Zaragoza, who currently occupy the aforementioned positions, respectively.
